Overview
When you work with TTML (Total Trucking Management Ltd.) you get the benefit of over 30 years of combined truck tax and license experience. One of the principals of TTML, Sandy Johnson, has been in the service bureau business since 1984, operating under the name of L & S Transportation Licensing Services Inc. L & S was sold to a Canadian national truck rental and leasing business in 1993. Sandy worked for this company until she left in 1997. TTML is an expansion of the original business model to include a number of related activities, such as training, consulting and software development.
Service Bureau
TTML offers a broad range of services to the trucking industry.
Among them are:
- New Carrier Set-up – One of our major strengths is setting up companies for new operations in a timely fashion, including obtaining safety certificates, operating authorities; IFTA; IRP; Extra-Provincial Corporate registration; etc. We work hard at getting trucks on the road in the shortest time possible. We provide a written quote of the set-up costs including a breakdown of fees.
- Maintaining – Once a carrier is set-up, we provide the services to keep them legal and on the road with as little input from the carrier as possible:
- Fuel Tax Reporting – We’re excited about TripDAWG – our new automated distance collection system using GPS. We can provide fuel tax reporting using either manual or automated distances.
- Licensing – filing and maintenance of carriers' prorated fleets. We provide a prompt service obtaining plates and cab cards in Canada and the US. We have designed a simple, easy to use form to save the customer time when applying for a prorate plate. We maintain equipment lists and all transactions in our computer database for easy reference.
- Any and all services related to truck legalization including (but not limited to) HVUT (form 2290), SSRS, Property Tax filings, etc.
Software
Several software applications or products have been developed to assist us with our service bureau activities. We sell our in-house program IRP FeeCalc, a simple, easy to use program to calculate PRP (prorate fees). This comes in handy for carriers who need to know how much a plate is going to cost before making an application to government; charge back fees to owner operators; check government fee notices.
Consulting
We are available to consult on any and all issues where we feel we have a comfortable level of expertise. This can be for a day or for a "project".
