The on-board hardware consists of a box which contains a GPS module developed by TTML. The software constantly calculates and records distance and it even knows when you cross a border! The data is downloaded to the TTML computer and we produce the Fuel Tax returns. And, the system costs no more than doing it manually.

What is TripDAWG?

TripDAWG (D-A-W-G stands for Data Acquisition with GPS) uses a GPS receiver and a mini-computer to collect the distance for IRP, IFTA, mileage tax returns and off-road fuel rebate applications.

Its purpose is to save you time and money while improving the accuracy of your information.

How does it work?

The Global Positioning System (GPS) utilizes 24 US military satellites that are constantly circling the earth and sending signals that can be picked up by special mobile receivers such as those used by the TripDAWG. These signals are FREE! Using the GPS signals, our software calculates the required information and stores it in the TripDAWG for future downloads which are then used for reporting!
